DIY $10 VERMICOMPOST BIN

There’s nothing better than getting crafty! We made our own vermicompost bin for the Garage 😎

It took under an hour andΒ cost us no more than $10 (2-10 gallon plastic totes for $4 each!) to build our bin.

This was a pretty fun project! Got a little too “trigger happy” with the drill πŸ—‘ πŸ˜‚ Β πŸ€™πŸΌ

The worms seem to love their new home!

You are going to want to give them food scraps (fruits & veggies only – no meat, dairy, bones or oil πŸ‘πŸΌ ) once a week or as needed. Cut food scraps into tiny pieces! The smaller the size, the better. And bury under the bedding.

You’ll know they need more food when the old food looks completely processed.Β One pound of worms will typically eat through two pounds of food a week.
